This disclosure complies with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission Endorsement Guides (FTC 16 CFR Part 255) and equivalent practices in other markets. Its purpose is to ensure you know exactly when we may receive compensation for a recommendation.
1. What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a special URL that identifies Dinero Claro as the visitor source. If you click such a link and later purchase the product or sign up for the service, we may receive a commission from the provider. The price you pay never increases, and the product does not change.
2. When and where they appear
As of the date of this policy, Dinero Claro does NOT maintain active affiliate relationships with YNAB, Mint, Rocket Money, Monarch Money, Goodbudget, Empower (Personal Capital), or any other personal finance app referenced in our comparisons. If we establish an affiliate relationship in the future, each affected link will be individually labeled "(affiliate link)" or "(sponsored)" right next to the link, in addition to being recorded here.
3. How we choose the products we compare
The selection of products for our comparisons (Mint vs Dinero Claro, YNAB vs Dinero Claro, etc.) is based exclusively on editorial relevance: which products the U.S. Hispanic audience researches when looking for a budgeting alternative. The presence or absence of an affiliate program never determines which product we cover or in what order we present it.
4. How we choose what to recommend
Our conclusions are based on product testing, public documentation, the pricing structure at the time of publication, and real-user experience reported on Reddit, the App Store, Google Play, and Hispanic personal finance communities. When we recommend Dinero Claro in an article, it is because we genuinely believe it is the best option for the described use case; we acknowledge a natural bias and therefore comparative articles always include cases where a competitor is preferable.
5. Third-party products mentioned
Trademarks for Mint, YNAB, Rocket Money, Monarch Money, Goodbudget, Empower, Credit Karma, EveryDollar, and any other app mentioned belong to their respective owners. Editorial coverage does not imply endorsement of those brands toward Dinero Claro or vice versa.
6. No pay-for-reviews
We never accept payment, gifts, service credits, or any other compensation in exchange for a favorable review or to remove a criticism. If a company contacts us offering the above, we decline and, where appropriate, disclose it in the corresponding article.
7. Pricing information
Pricing and plan information for third-party products cited in our articles is verified on the publication date or the last-updated date shown in each article. Prices may change without notice by the provider; always verify information directly on the official site before making a purchase decision.
8. Dinero Claro referral program
When users share a referral link to invite family or friends to try Dinero Claro, it is NOT considered an affiliate link in the commercial sense: no commission is paid and no payment data is transferred. It is simply an invitation mechanism between users.
9. Changes to this policy
If we establish a new affiliate relationship, this page will be updated with the corresponding date in the "Last updated" field before any affiliate link is published on the site.
