About Us

Last updated: June 2026

Dinero Claro was born from a simple idea: personal finance tools should not be reserved for people who already understand finance, should not charge $14.99 a month for basic budgeting, and should not require you to hand over your bank credentials. We built the budgeting app we wish we had when we started saving.

Our mission

Democratize access to high-quality financial tools for the US Hispanic community. We believe every person — regardless of income or credit history — deserves to clearly understand where their money goes and how to build long-term wealth.

Why we exist

Mint shut down in 2024 and left 30 million users without a real alternative. YNAB costs $109 a year. Most apps are English-only. Latino families sending remittances, managing variable income, or working in cash were not represented anywhere. Dinero Claro fills that gap.

What makes us different

We combine in a single app: (1) a bilingual AI advisor trained on Latino financial habits, (2) the 4 Pillars method instead of the rigid 50/30/20 rule, (3) gamification with achievements and levels to sustain motivation, (4) zero bank connection — your information never leaves your hands, (5) fully free access to all core features.

Who we serve

Immigrant families, 1099 workers, gig workers, couples sharing expenses, young professionals starting their careers, people paying off student loans, and anyone tired of complicated or expensive apps.

Our principles

Privacy first: we never sell data, never connect to your bank unless you decide to, never share information with advertisers. Radical transparency: security code is audited regularly, policies are clear, prices have no fine print. Real financial education: our content is not disguised marketing — it is guides written by people who live the same realities you do.

Where we come from

Dinero Claro is an independent project built in 2025-2026 with no venture capital and no investor pressure to sell user data. This lets us make long-term decisions: you do not need to pay for a decent experience, we do not bombard you with notifications, and we do not bloat premium features with things that should be free.

Our values

  • Privacy as a right, not a premium feature.
  • Real bilingualism: Spanish content is written in Spanish by our bilingual editorial team and reviewed before publishing, not machine-translated.
  • Financial inclusion: designed for variable income, cash, remittances and the gig economy.
  • No dark patterns: no manipulative UX, no subscriptions that are hard to cancel.
  • Education before upsell: teaching money management matters more than selling Premium.
